1/26/2024 0 Comments Ultimate demon wolf formsThis reasonably substantial book is a mixture of stuff which should really have been in the core book and stuff which, whilst, less essential, still presents a range of useful expansions that most Demon campaigns would be enriched by.Īfter some game fiction, the supplement kicks off with an extended meditation on Demon character creation, of the sort usually included in the Player’s Guides to the various World of Darkness games. Luckily, DriveThruRPG ended up doing a sale of Demon stuff a while back, so I was able to pick up the supplements I was interested in and see for myself. Still, the game has its advocates, and part of me wondered whether the subsequent supplements released in 20 (prior to the Classic World of Darkness being shut down in 2004) did anything to resolve the muddle of the core book. ![]() Frankly, if this isn’t true, then it’s kind of embarrassing for everyone involved, because only an awful crisis like that could possibly excuse the state the core book is in. I hear tell that the lead developer actually had a health crisis during the making of the game, making them unable to complete the manuscript by the deadline and forcing White Wolf to make someone else step in and fill out all the Lores in a hurry. So when something like this eventually happens, the dwarf form better not be an effing ram.I’ve reviewed the core book of Demon: the Fallen elsewhere, and come to the conclusion that it’s a fun game weighed down by a horrendously rushed core book with a terrible signal-to-noise ratio and rules which clearly weren’t finished when the game went to press (to the extent that they actively contradict one another at times). I don't want to argue though and now the more I think about it, the less I like the dwarves having a spirit wolf form. You don't have to agree though and I am fully aware of the fact that the game is full of crybabies that will make blizz balancing always everything. ![]() And that's also another reason why I would like to see some races to actually keep sharing their spirit animal (or druid) forms. ![]() I know this is another thing that most players probably won't agree on with me, but I don't think that balancing or equalizing all aspects of the game should be a thing. That's why I kinda liked the troll (and now with the allied races maybe some other) spirit form being unique. But are there other animals that would maybe be more fitting? Yes, I just don't think it would be a ram or a plainstrider.Īlso the constant demand from players of the opposite factions (and also players of different races) for receiving something just because the other faction (or a race) has it is just. So I think it's totally possible for the Azeroth shamans to simultaneously "adopt" the spirit wolf form for themselves. Why would a Dwarf randomly utilise a wolf spirit instead of an animal spirit that actually means something to them? A bear like you said would be appropriate.I never said that I have a problem with it or don't understand the fact. What is so hard to understand about this? You may aswell ask why Zandalari Druids turn into Dinosaurs or why Blood Elf Paladins use the Light of the Sunwell. because that's why the Orcs use wolf 's culturally relevant to them.
